Relax in this calm, self-contained, stylish hideaway set in our grade II listed farmhouse. The Huh is steeped in history and surrounded by peaceful countryside. A perfect retreat for a romantic escape to the country.
Set within our 400-year-old farmhouse The Huh is accessed via its own entrance and has its own private outdoor space that overlooks the large pond and meadow.
Our interior style here is definitely modern and rustic. You will find vintage finds, Scandi design as well as nods to our Norfolk heritage.
Our farmhouse is wonderfully positioned and enjoys a very peaceful setting overlooking unspoilt countryside views.
We have beautiful mature gardens, woodland, and meadow dating back to the 17th century. We even have a quirky cold war bunker on our grounds which makes a very unique feature, as there are only a couple in Norfolk I believe.
We are surrounded by stunning countryside but there are plenty of picturesque villages quite close by with welcoming village pubs, coffee shops and local farm shops.
Slow DOWN
The lounge is accessed via pretty double French doors with original ceiling beams, decorated with natural textures to help you enjoy the slower pace of the Norfolk countryside.
There is no TV as it is all about switching off and really embracing the peaceful countryside. Sipping your coffee a little bit slower and taking in the glorious sunrise and amazing sunsets we enjoy here in Norfolk.
You will find lots of luxury design led magazines and interior books to enjoy whilst you relax and immerse into the slower pace of life.
Indulge
From the lounge you step up into the kitchenette that also includes beautiful original beams, Norfolk pamment tiled floor, a dining table for two.
The kitchenette includes the cutest mini Smeg appliances, a mini fridge, a Smeg kettle and toaster. You will also find a Grind luxury coffee machine (compatible with Nespresso pods). We have included some Southwood Living 'Slow You Down' ceramics made by local artist to fully savour your slow morning starts.
In the kitchenette there is also a mini oven, air fryer, grill, induction hob if you'd like to prepare your own light meals.
Leading from the kitchenette is the beautiful character staircase with it's gorgeous beams to the bathroom and bedroom.
SOAK AND Sleep
The bathroom has a roll top bath with an overhead shower with complimentary luxury SOP toiletries made in Norfolk. There is also a hairdryer and a set of hair straighteners available to borrow kept in the chest of drawers.
The bedroom includes luxury king size mattress with linen bedding, dressing table and stool. full length mirror, clothes rail and hangers. There is also a beautiful cream boucle chair and footstool to relax and enjoy the sunrises over the meadow.
